Recent Laboratory Projects
Oklahoma
Developed a surfactant system and EOR process using surfactant dissolved in field injection brine of 110,000 ppm TDS. Laboratory oil recovery was 82% of waterflood residual oil, with a final oil saturation of 7%. Single well EOR test in the field gave similar final oil saturations in the test zone.
Oklahoma
Developed a surfactant system and EOR process using surfactant dissolved in field injection brine of 11,500 ppm TDS. Laboratory oil recovery was 83.5% of waterflood residual oil, with a final oil saturation of 6%.
Oklahoma
Developed a surfactant system and EOR process using surfactant dissolved in field injection brine of 157,000 ppm TDS. Laboratory oil recovery was 78% of waterflood residual oil, with a final oil saturation of 8%.
California
Developed a surfactant system and EOR process using surfactant dissolved in field injection brine of 19,000 ppm TDS. Laboratory oil recovery was 73% of waterflood residual oil, with a final oil saturation of 10%. Single well EOR test in the field gave similar final oil saturations in the test zones.
California
Developed a surfactant system and EOR process using surfactant dissolved in field injection brine of 32,400 ppm TDS.
Oklahoma
Tested an in-depth polymer gel process in field cores, measuring resistance factors and residual resistance factors, and retention of injected chemicals in field cores.
South America
Developed a surfactant system and EOR process in field brine of 122,000 ppm TDS. Laboratory oil recovery was 83%, with a final oil saturation of 6%.
New Mexico
Developed a surfactant system and EOR process in field injection brine of 33,000 ppm TDS. Laboratory oil recovery was 77%, with a final oil saturation of 9%.
Canada
Developed a surfactant system and EOR process for a viscous oil in field injection brine of 75,000 ppm TDS. Laboratory oil recovery was 79%, with a final oil saturation of 9%.
